Martin Peterek worked as managing chief engineer at WZL | RWTH Aachen University. He was awarded by the examination committee for his dissertation about uncertainties of on-machine-measurements. His diploma thesis at the WZL got him an award by the Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Werth Foundation. Akshay Paranjape has a master’s degree in Simulation Sciences from RWTH Aachen with a focus on Machine Learning. During his studies, he worked at Zeiss in the field of Computer Vision for classification problems. His thesis work on “Open Set Classification using Deep Learning” is recognized as IP of Zeiss. Prior to his thesis, he worked at the Informatics Department at RWTH Aachen and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physics from IIT Delhi, India.

Dmytro comes from Ukraine and studied computer science with a focus on software systems engineering. He got his master degree from the RWTH Aachen University and works as a software developer in the Apollo team developing our Predictive Maintenance software.
Nils holds two bachelor's degrees, one in communication studies and fundamentals of electrical engineering and one in electrical engineering with a major in computer engineering. He also holds a master's degree in electrical engineering with a major in computer engineering - all of them from the RWTH Aachen University. Nils wrote his master thesis in IconPro in production process parameter optimization using reinforcement learning and started as a full-timer at our company right after that.
Lucas studied Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, and has worked as student assistant at WZL in Predictive Maintenance of machine tools. Today, he is a full-time software developer in the Apollo development team at IconPro.
Our Brazilian colleague graduated in Mechatronics Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and started with us as a web developer. He joined the APOLLO team, where he is going to work in the full-stack deployment of this software for Predictive Maintenance.
Nahid comes from Bangladesh and completed his studies in computer science with a focus on data science at the RWTH Aachen University. At IconPro, Nahid works in the Ares team and drives the capabilities of our software forward.
Navid is currently in the third semester of his Master’s at the RWTH. He is studying Software Systems Engineering and is now ready to deepen his knowledge with a practical experience at IconPro. He is a developer in the Ares team and started assisting us in the development and deployment of this software for Predictive Quality and Process Optimization.
Valencia comes from Indonesia and is studying in Business Administration at RWTH Aachen University at Master level. She is an assistant manager at IconPro and supports the management team in areas such as accounting, marketing and human resources.
Praneeth obtained his M.Sc degree in Simulation Science at the RWTH Aachen University with a background in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc) at the Ramaiah Institute of Technology, in India. At IconPro, he is part of the Ares team and assists developing and deploying this software for Predictive Quality and Process Optimization.
Andrei holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Computer Vision. He has just started as a Machine Learning Engineer at the TSAF team, working on the deployment of our software for Machine Vision, Signal Analysis and Prediction.
Vinícius is concluding his bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He has worked with automation in a research lab and is looking forward to expanding his knowledge in our team. At IconPro, he is assisting in deploying our ARES software for Predictive Quality and Process Optimization.
Our new Italian colleague studies at Maastricht University and is an honors student in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. At IconPro, Claudio supports the AI-NET-ANIARA research project by further developing our Talos software.
Maik holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from FH Aachen. He majored in Information Systems Engineering with a focus on Intelligent Systems. At IconPro, Maik is our latest addition as a software developer in the ARES Team. He recently started supporting the WebUI team and will be working on the new Spark Pipeline in the future.
Vlad is set to finish his Bachelor’s next year at the Odessa State Academy of Construction and Architecture. There, he specializes in civil and industrial construction. At IconPro, he’s assisting us in the Talos project. In addition, he also has been involved in the development of a Python module for Time Series Analysis and Forecasting.
Raphael Maas is an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He holds master’s degrees in the fields of Engineering and Business (RWTH Aachen University, Tsinghua University) and has received multiple awards for his academic achievements. Prior to joining BCG, Raphael worked at IconPro assisting the general management as one of the first employees.

Robert Schmitt is a professor at WZL | RWTH Aachen University. He is a member of the Boards of Directors the WZL as well as of the Fraunhofer IPT. Across the world and for many decades now the WZL has stood for successful and forward-thinking research and Innovation. Prof. Schmitt’s focus lies in the combination of measuring, software and assembly technology as well as in the quality-oriented process design.
Raphael Kiesel is head of the department Quality Intelligence at WZL of RWTH Aachen University. He has previously worked as a group leader at the Fraunhofer IPT and as manager of the community of the International Center for Networked, Adaptive Production (ICNAP). Raphael completed his master’s degrees in industrial engineering and mechanical engineering (RWTH Aachen, UW Madison).

Edgar Dietrich founded and led the Q-DAS GmbH & Co. KG. Before, he was professor for technical informatics in Mannheim. Q-DAS software set standards for quality assurance in industrial production with 200.000 users in 8.000 companies worldwide. In 2015, he sold Q-DAS to Hexagon MI. He is author of standard literature in process statistics and chair of the ISO TC 69 SC 4 responsible for all ISO standards for statistical analysis in product and process management.
